In 2025, China approved 76 innovative drugs, ranking first globally; in the same year, the annual transaction volume of Business Development (BD) licensing deals for Chinese innovative drugs exceeded $130 billion.


Hengrui Medicine, a benchmark leader in the transition from "generics to innovation," saw its outbound licensing deals surpass $16 billion in 2025. United Imaging Healthcare, a high-end medical device manufacturer, has established localized R&D facilities covering North America and Europe.


Authorities including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), and the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), in collaboration with sectors such as foreign affairs, law, finance, logistics, taxation, trade, investment, and customs, are launching a "One-Network Integrated Service Platform." II. Global Trade Regulations


1.New Opportunities in Africa: Kenya and China Reach Preliminary Trade Agreement.98.2% of Kenyan export products have qualified for duty-free access to the Chinese market. This comes despite previous demands from the U.S. that Kenya should not sign trade agreements with China. (Global Times)

1.U.S. Export License for NVIDIA.The Trump administration has conditionally approved NVIDIA's license to export H200 AI chips to China, shifting the review principle for related semiconductor exports from "Presumption of Denial" to "Case-by-Case Review." 2.Indonesia's Anti-Dumping Ruling on Hot-Rolled Steel.Indonesia made a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on hot-rolled steel coils from China's Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. 3.EU Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX).On January 20th, the EU RAPEX issued a notification regarding POP MART brand soft toys.
